3 powerful lessons I have learned by just TRYING

Back then when ignorance dominates my reason I used to fear exploring what I find uncertain; be it asking the girl I like for a date or asking my boss for a raise or talking to my neighbor about their loud music, I’m always intercepted by the fear that I will somehow fail to get a favorable response. Perhaps it is my mind’s tendency to avoid rejection and conflict that prevents me from making any effort to get any closer to what I want.

I’m sure you have had these experiences too, but have you ever thought of the “what if” scenarios? Imagine what difference you could make had you pursued your inspiration despite the nagging of fear in your spines. I wish I could have learned much earlier that there is much to gain had I not fallen to the trickery of my unfounded hesitations. Allowing ourselves the opportunity to do the things we ought to do will give us certain edge than those who stay in the cage of their illusory fears. There’s much we can achieve if we learn how to try.

With this let me share with you the powerful lessons I have learned by TRYING:

Discovery of one’s capabilities

We all have special capabilities intact within us, and the only way to explore them is by pushing ourselves beyond our comfort zones. Many years ago I thought of being a writer, but I don’t have the slightest idea if I could be one. I stalled at the idea for many years until the time I realize that I should give it a try (much I have regretted for the time I have wasted). The first time I wrote a composition there were positive feedbacks, however I have learned that I need to work on my jagged grammar. By then I have discovered that I have a knack for words and I just need to hone myself on the proper mechanics of grammatical construction. Had I not tried, I would not have the opportunity to develop this skill for which is the instrument in the materialization of my dream.

Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.”

The bare truth is that we can master every skill, win over our dreams, and acquire the things we want if we muster the courage to try… and try… and try. Why wonder about the things you want when you have the power to make it happen, all that you have to do is to try. One effective way of discovering one’s capabilities is to allow ourselves to step forward—despite the fear, despite the hesitation and despite the uncertainty. Believe me you’ll discover a gem within that you would make an impact on your life.

The opportunity for improvement and the realization of one’s errors

A person of success possesses the characteristic of knowing his mistakes and evolved accordingly. By allowing himself on different circumstance—trying himself on unknown grounds—he allowed the opportunity to know his errors and grow for the better. Take a look at the electronic device we are using; before they get out of the market they are being tried and tested in order to see if it had any defects. Same is true with us. If we keep ourselves from trying, we won’t improve; and if we don’t improve, our circumstance in life will not alleviate.

By forcing ourselves to the unknown we put ourselves to a test, and from there we could learn which part of ourselves that needs reshaping. For example, you muster the courage to try yourself to speak in public; after such experience you will later learn your strong points and your weak points. You may perhaps find yourself eager to speak in public but gets nervous in front of a large audience. From these findings you can capitalize on which areas you want to improve. Not only that you have exposed yourself to a new experience, you have also learned how to further yourself.

Opportunity of success

Trying is a basic yet powerful formula of success, how do you think the great ones did it? Looking closely at the characteristics of those who have already succeeded we can see their tenacity when it comes to trying. No venture is too big and no voyage is too dangerous for those who really want to achieve their goals.  Remember, the chance of success is very high to those who are committed to try than those who remain wondering about their dreams.

What are your dreams?

What are your goals?

What are your aspirations?

Why are you not getting them?

Forget wondering; all you need is to just give it a try. But do it now while you are capable. Many a dream have been buried in the grave.

Finding it hard to even start with your goals?

Whether it’s breaking from poverty, getting your dream job, succeeding in business endeavors, losing weight, finding employment, getting a harmonious relationship, acquiring wealth and power, writing that bestselling book or any goals you want to materialize, there’s a force within you that will always inhibit you from achieving success. 99% of those who attempted with their goals fail, and the reason is their lack of knowledge about their very own participation in their failures. Our early conditioning programs us to fail but by identifying and overcoming them, success will favor your efforts. Let me help you in identifying them in my ebook below at a very low expense on your part.

That reminds me of the advice my Mom always gave me … “You never know until you try.”

  3. You will never be successful if you stop trying… Life isn’t easy, so that’s why we have to keep trying to achieve our goals. It’s like that saying: “You try, you fail, you try, you fail, but the real failure is when you stop trying…”

Very nicely written. You’re right, we all have those things that hold us back, our own sense of belief that might be incorrect. Some we overcome, some we never will. But in those times when we do overcome, we’re often amazed at what we can do.

  5. Hi Walter.
When I was a kid everybody(adults) said know your weaknesses. WHY I thought. So for many years I discovered my weaknesses and tried to turn them into strengths. What a waste of time that was.
Now, however I use my strengths. Well what a difference.
Know your weaknesses yes. But don’t waste time on them.
And as you have rightly said, TRY, and keep trying.
Here’s to you Walter, a trier and a doer.
