I say amen to this Val. Our spirit, which is our true essence defeats the phantom of death. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest, this is what we should always remember every time we wake up in the morning.

I do believe that the most important aspect of our existence is finding our true essence. We can gain nothing from this physical world, only the awareness within can get us beyond the unknown.

I know what’s it like to experience midlife crisis. I had it when I’m 26 years old. Up until now I cannot forget the inexplicable fear and emptiness I have experienced during those times. Perhaps that was the turning point of my life as it has changed my perspective about my existence. One important thing I have learned is awareness. By being aware I have allowed my spirit to step above my mind.

It’s really hard to explain. But every time my body and mind responds to certain events, I automatically become aware of it, and I am able to control my reponse.

I believe that all the answers to our questions lies within us. Everything has already been and we just need to rediscover who we really are. The mind, the body, the spirit are just metaphors of our true essence. Words and depiction will never be enough to describe the divine that is in us. Self discovery will always be an inexplicable experience.

Perhaps this is the reason why Jesus uses a lot of parables in explaining the Divine.
