Wealth = Vision + Application + Attitude

wealth

Many people envisioned wealth as both enigmatic and elusive. Some envy those who acquire it “effortlessly,” blaming luck for its prejudice. The truth is, wealth is a manifestation of our efforts; the result of giving and sharing our services to the benefit and well-being of others. It’s a kind of reciprocal reward.

The seeming exclusivity of wealth is such a mystery that few can decipher the key to its abundance. Many complain the mechanics behind the economic partiality of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. Failing to understand the elements behind its acquisition has rendered many blind of their inherent capacity.

For those who dream of acquiring the favor of monetary wealth let me site the elements with which you need to work for. I advise to let go of the primitive learning that brought you nothing but mediocrity. Open your mind to the possibilities YOU can achieve.

Vision

Every success starts with a vision. When I was a little kid I was asked by my teacher what I want to be when I grow up, and without second thought I said “a writer!” Though I didn’t have any idea what makes one, my then uncorrupted mind affirms its possibility. Now that I’ve grown, the everyday preoccupation of living has stunted the development of my unique abilities. Things get complicated as we grow up, a lot of things influences our way of thinking. What was once a free-flowing mind is now congested.

Each of us has some visions in life and I’m pretty sure having “lot’s of money” is one of them. But unfortunately most of us are mired in dreaming; settling in defeat instead of chancing a vulnerable pursuit. Money does not grow on dreams; it follows the principle of cause and effect. Make your vision definite and from there build your goal; then proceed to the next step.

Application

“Ok, how do I start?” You ask. Start working on little things. Don’t rush; it will do no good. Consider the imperatives as you go on. To give an example, let us say you want to make money by writing. Of course, to be a writer you need to posses the necessary skills. You need to make it a goal to acquire those skills. Study what makes a writer a writer. Of paramount importance is the ability to deliver; if you don’t have writing experience GET one. Nothing will happen if you resign to the fact of your lacking.

Timidity is the enemy on this level. The task of making a move suddenly becomes a big effort; your mind will automatically label such task cumbersome. If you allow this belief to override then, you might as well go back to mediocrity and live the rest of your life dreaming. You may not be aware but humans have tremendous capacity to learn, especially those who are dedicated. The problem is within us, every time we venture on unfamiliar grounds we unconsciously associate risk with it; and when we do, fear dominates our every action. Having this automatic response of our mind hinders our capacity to perform. Wealthy people do not allow this debilitating manipulation of the mind; they took every step, stopping at nothing to achieve their goals—and hence rewarded accordingly.

As I have said do your homework. Assimilate all worthy information, gobble on anything relevant to your goal– there’s hidden opportunity in it. Wealth doesn’t favor the lazy and the coward.

With your vision and application already on the run, this last important factor must be put to heart.

Attitude

Here’s where the big problem comes. A lot of suppose-to-be-achievers failed on this account. The world could have been very prosperous had the majority of people overcome the negative aspect of the “self.” By looking at the attitudes of wealthy people, one may find something common amongst them.

First, they are risk-takers; they are not afraid of failure, in fact they see failure as an opportunity to go a step further.

Second, they are staunch in their pursuit. No matter what obstacles lay ahead, nothing could stop them from achieving. Many doesn’t realize how powerful this attitude is.

Third, they are ruthless. This virtue always carries a negative connotation, but here I acknowledge its positive aspect. Being ruthless means protecting your own interest. In our dealings with life, we don’t want to be on the losing side; so we make some stern decisions to avoid such state. We’re living in a world where competition is a necessity. If you get too emotional, or too accommodating, or too friendly; chances are, you’re an open target.

Although there are many other determining attitudes that can guarantee wealth, the above stated are the primary ones. Nobody was born with those qualities; you need to develop those qualities within you. You have to gain it through wisdom, experience and constant application.

From the time of our awareness, we are all forced into a belief system that controls the way we think. When we dream of something “big”—I’m rich, I’m a movie star, I’m a famous basketball player— we ascribe complexity and difficulty with it. And thus, we dare not try to pursue such “ludicrous” dream.

However, as we grow to maturity—seldom do— we learn a lot of things about life. The wisdom that we have allowed ourselves serves as the key in achieving our true place in this existence.

Take a plunge in the pursuit of knowledge before your mind enfeebles. It’s a great waste to be ignorant.

“Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.”

Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)
